A delegation led by the President of the National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS), Comrade Ajibola Lateef Folajimmy, on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the Member of the House of Representatives representing Osogbo Federal Constituency, Hon. Moruf Adewale Gangaria, to discuss issues affecting students’ welfare and development.

 

The visit, held at the lawmaker’s residence in Osogbo, brought together key student leaders from Ilobu, Erin-Osun and Ifon-Osun under the Indigenous Students Association platform.

 

Members of the delegation included the President of the Ilobu National Students Union, H.E. Aisha Dasola Balogun; President of the Federation of Erin-Osun Students Association, Comrade Hamzat Gafar; and representatives of the Federation of Ifon-Orolu Students, led by Vice President, Comrade Araoye Tomiwa Babatunde.

 

During the meeting, the student leaders highlighted several challenges confronting students across Orolu and Irepodun Local Government Areas. They stressed the need for improved support systems, expanded educational opportunities, and policies that would enhance academic excellence.

 

In his response, Hon. Gangaria commended the delegation for their proactive approach and engagement, describing the visit as timely and necessary. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at improving students’ welfare and advancing the standard of education within the constituency.

 

The meeting also explored possible areas of collaboration between the lawmaker and student bodies to ensure that students’ concerns are effectively addressed.

 

Stakeholders described the engagement as a significant step towards strengthening relationships and promoting the collective interest of students across the region.
