The leadership of the National Association of Osun State Students has paid a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, reaffirming their commitment to collaboration and student development in the state.
The delegation, led by the National President of the association, Ajibola Lateef Folajimmy, said the visit was aimed at familiarising the students’ body with the Speaker and members of the House, while strengthening ties between the legislature and the student community.
During the meeting, the students expressed appreciation to Osun State Governor, Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke, for donating a bus to the national body of the association. The donation followed sustained advocacy by the students.
According to the association, the Governor offered prayers for the safe use of the bus and wished members success in their activities.
Addressing the delegation, Speaker Egbedun stressed the importance of total commitment and loyalty to any cause, noting that leadership demands “100 per cent dedication,” not partial allegiance.
He assured the students of his continued support for both indigenous and national student bodies in the state, adding that the decisions and actions they take today would shape their future.
The Speaker also shared his vision for youth engagement and encouraged the student leaders to remain focused, disciplined and united in pursuing their goals. He pledged to work closely with the association to ensure progress and meaningful impact.
The student body while thanking the Speaker for the rear opportunity described the meeting as productive and inspiring, expressing optimism that stronger collaboration with the state legislature would open new opportunities for Osun students.
