The Hope for Humanity Initiative has called for unity, love, and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians as Christian across the world celebrates Easter
This is according to a statement released by the Chairman of the organization Mr Oyegoke Akintayo to commemorate the Easter season.
He emphasised the importance of togetherness, urging citizens to reflect on the core message of the celebration, sacrifice, renewal, and hope.
According to the HHI, Easter presents a unique opportunity for Nigerians to set aside differences and work collectively towards building a more united and prosperous society.
“Easter reminds us that no matter our challenges, there is always hope. It is also a time to embrace one another, promote peace, and strengthen the bonds that hold us together as a people,” the statement read.
The initiative noted that at a time when the nation faces various social and economic challenges, unity remains a critical tool for national development and stability.
It further encouraged religious leaders, community heads, and citizens to use the festive period to promote tolerance and mutual respect across different faiths and ethnic groups.
The group also urged Nigerians to extend kindness to the less privileged, stressing that acts of compassion and generosity reflect the true spirit of Easter.
While wishing Christians a joyful celebration, the Hope for Humanity Initiative reaffirmed its commitment to promoting humanitarian values and fostering harmony within communities.
The organisation concluded by calling on all Nigerians to carry the message of Easter beyond the celebration period and make unity a daily practice.
