The Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Hassan Kamorudeen Okanlawon, has approved the re-employment of teachers affected by the disengagement exercise carried out by the Osun State Government led by Governor Ademola Adeleke.

The decision was reached after a meeting between the Supervisory Councillor for Education and Information, Akorede Olawale, and the affected teachers, where discussions focused on their welfare and economic challenges following their disengagement.

According to the local government chairman, the affected teachers will now be re-engaged under the council administration to help sustain their livelihoods and enable them to continue contributing to the development of education within the local government area.

Okanlawon stressed that education remains a key part of community growth, noting that teachers deserve support for their role in shaping future generations.

He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of residents through policies aimed at enhancing living conditions across the council area.

The affected teachers reportedly commended the chairman for what they described as a timely intervention and a demonstration of compassion toward their plight.

The development comes amid ongoing reactions to the disengagement exercise conducted by the administration of Ademola Adeleke in the state.
