The Osun State chapter of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) has presented Certificates of Return and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination forms to its candidates for the State House of Assembly and National Assembly elections ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony in Osogbo on Monday, the state chairman of the party, Mr Adebayo Adewale, charged the candidates to remain committed to the party’s vision and work towards securing victory at the polls.

Adewale described the presentation as more than a routine political exercise, noting that it symbolised the confidence and trust the party has placed in its candidates.

According to him, those selected to represent the party carry the responsibility of providing quality representation and upholding values of integrity, competence, and service to the people.

“The journey has begun. Today, we formally present these Certificates of Return and INEC nomination forms to our candidates,” Adewale said.

He expressed confidence that the candidates would emerge successful in their respective elections and deliver purposeful leadership if elected.

“We believe they will serve the people with integrity, competence, and compassion,” he added.

The party chairman also expressed optimism that the APM would record significant success in the 2027 General Elections through sustained grassroots mobilisation, hard work, and dedication by members and supporters.

He called on party faithful across the state to intensify mobilisation efforts and continue promoting the party’s message centred on hope, development, and good governance.

Highlighting the significance of the party’s symbol, cassava, Adewale said it represents productivity, resilience, and prosperity.

He explained that just as cassava remains a dependable crop in many communities, the party remains committed to implementing policies that would positively impact the lives of ordinary Nigerians.

Adewale further stated that the 2027 General Elections would provide Nigerians with another opportunity to embrace credible leadership and strengthen democratic governance across the country.
