A Socio -Political Group in Osun , The Afenifere/Yoruba Leaders of Thought , have congratulated two of their prominent members, Rt.- Hon. Adejare Bello and Prof. Siji Olamiju on their appointment as Chairmen of the Munirudeen Oyebanji (AMBO) Governorship Campaign Committees of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in their respective federal constituencies.
Bello was appointed Chairman of the Campaign Committee for Ede Federal Constituency, while Olamiju Akol serve as chairman for Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency.
The group conveyed its congratulatory message in a statement jointly signed by its Chairman, former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Sooko Adeleke Adewoyin, and the State Coordinator, Arc. Prince Lekan Usman on Friday in Osogbo.
The statement made available to newsmen described the appointments as well-deserved, while noting that they reflect the duo’s loyalty, commitment, and contributions to the growth and stability of the party.
While commending Bello and Olamiju Akol for their wealth of political experience and grassroots mobilisation capacity, the group expressed confidence in their ability to deliver victory for the party in their constituencies.
It further stated that their leadership qualities, strategic thinking, and dedication to progressive ideals would strengthen the campaign ahead of the Aug. 15, 2026 governorship election in the state.
The group, however called on party members and supporters to unite and give maximum support to the campaign teams across the nine federal constituencies to ensure a resounding victory for the party’s candidate.
