President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Elegushi of Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom in Lagos State, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, on the occasion of his 50th birthday.
In a statement released on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President commended the monarch for his impactful leadership and dedication to community development.
Tinubu described Oba Elegushi as a forward-thinking traditional ruler who has successfully blended cultural heritage with modern innovation, particularly through initiatives in agriculture and skills development within his domain.
Reflecting on their past working relationship, the President noted that the monarch had served under him during his tenure as Governor of Lagos State between 2003 and 2010. He praised Elegushi’s compassion and commitment to public service during that period.
“I am not surprised by the achievements recorded during your reign, given your longstanding empathy and passion for the well-being of the people,” Tinubu stated.
The President also offered prayers for the monarch, wishing him good health, long life, and continued success in serving his community.
