The residents of Oke Ola and Orisunmibare communities in Eko-Ende, Ifelodun Local Government area of Osun State have expressed gratitude to God and the local government leadership following the rehabilitation of roads that had long hampered economic activities in the area.
The road project, facilitated under the administration of the Executive Chairman, Hon Hassan Kamorudeen Okanlawon, has brought relief to residents who had endured poor road conditions for years.
Community members also commended the efforts of Olaniyan Adeniyi and Atoba Oyekunle for their roles in facilitating the grading of the roads.
Many residents described the development as a major boost to local commerce and mobility, offering prayers for the continued success of the council leadership.
Meanwhile, in Ward 04 of the local government, several members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have reportedly defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The defection was attributed to growing support for the “autonomy” agenda being championed by Chairman Okanlawon, which supporters say is evident in ongoing grassroots development and improved service delivery across the council.
Speaking on the developments, the Supervisory Councillor for Education and Information, Akorede Olawale, said the administration remains committed to improving the welfare of residents and ensuring that democratic values are upheld.
He added that the local government will continue to promote policies that enhance the quality of life for citizens while sustaining political inclusiveness and development at the grassroots level.
