The National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS) has congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election, describing his renewed mandate as an opportunity to consolidate ongoing development in education, student welfare and youth empowerment across the state.
In a congratulatory message signed by its Executive President, Comrade Ajibola Lateef Folajimmy, popularly known as Collabo, the association said Adeleke’s victory reflected the confidence and trust reposed in his leadership by the people of Osun State.
The students expressed optimism that the governor’s second term would bring greater development, improved opportunities and inclusive governance to the state.
NAOSS pledged its readiness to support government initiatives aimed at promoting education, youth empowerment, good governance and sustainable development.
According to the association, the renewed mandate provides the Adeleke administration with an opportunity to consolidate its achievements while addressing areas that require greater attention.
The students particularly called for increased investment in education and student welfare, stressing that skills development and youth empowerment were essential to preparing young people for the future.
“We particularly look forward to stronger attention to education and student welfare. Investment in education, skills development and youth empowerment remains essential to building a productive generation and securing a stronger future for Osun State,” the statement said.
The association also urged the state government to strengthen its engagement with student unions, youth organisations and other stakeholders in the education sector.
It noted that closer collaboration between government and young people would create opportunities for fresh ideas and enable students and youths to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.
NAOSS further expressed its readiness to work with the government and other stakeholders to advance the interests of Osun students and young people while contributing to the overall development of the state.
The association wished Adeleke a successful second term and urged him to pursue policies focused on development, accountability and the welfare of citizens.
“May your renewed tenure bring greater achievements, meaningful impact and sustainable development across Osun State. Congratulations, Governor Ademola Adeleke. Osun State is moving forward,” the association said.
