The National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS), under the leadership of its National President, Comrade Ajibola Lateef Folajimmy, has congratulated the Honourable Member representing Ede Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Bamidele Salam, on his emergence as the Accord Party’s consensus candidate for the 2026 House of Representatives election.
In a statement issued on behalf of Osun students students both home and in the diaspora, Comrade Folajimmy described Salam’s emergence as a reflection of the confidence and trust reposed in him by the people of Ede Federal Constituency and the leadership of the Accord Party.
According to the NAOSS President, Hon. Salam has distinguished himself as a lawmaker committed to the growth of education, youth empowerment and community development, making him worthy of another opportunity to serve his constituents at the National Assembly.
“On behalf of the entire Osun students’ community, I heartily congratulate Hon. Bamidele Salam on his emergence as the Accord Party candidate for Ede Federal Constituency. This achievement is a testament to his impactful representation, dedication to public service and unwavering commitment to the welfare of his constituents,” Folajimmy stated.
The student leader particularly appreciated Salam for his numerous interventions in the education sector, including scholarship opportunities, bursary support, educational materials, youth development initiatives and other programmes that have positively impacted students and young people across Ede Federal Constituency and Osun State at large.
He noted that many students have benefited from the lawmaker’s educational support schemes and empowerment programmes, describing him as a dependable ally of the student community.
“Hon. Bamidele Salam has consistently demonstrated that leadership is about service. Through various educational interventions, youth-focused programmes and constituency projects, he has shown genuine concern for the development of students and young people. His support has inspired many beneficiaries to pursue their academic and career aspirations with confidence,” he added.
Folajimmy further commended the lawmaker for his commitment to infrastructural development, legislative excellence and efforts aimed at creating opportunities for youths, saying his performance in office has justified the call for continuity by the people of the constituency.
While wishing Salam success in the forthcoming election, NAOSS expressed confidence that he would continue to champion policies and programmes that promote education, youth empowerment and sustainable development.
